The following guidelines will help.

Choosing the Right Perfume

Choosing the right fragrance is just like buying a new dress. As such a good fragrance wardrobe should provide something suitable for every different occasion, mood or climate.

Take your time before deciding to buy a new fragrance

Perfume shopping isn’t something you can do in a single day because after a few sprays at the sample counter the sensors in your nose may very well shut down, inhibiting the effective smelling of the perfumes you’re trying out. Alternatively, the combination of different perfumes may create a blend that doesn’t really exist and you may return home with something that turns out to be smelling completely different than that in the shop. Take lots of breaks when shopping for perfume. If possible, start with the lighter scents so that your nose won’t be overpowered at the outset. If you’re looking for something rich and heavy, try no more than one or two fragrances, then go grab a cup of coffee or do some other shopping and only return in about 20 minutes or so to try a few more.

  1. The Personality Factor

  2. There is a powerful link between personality and scent. When  you choose a perfume you are expressing something about the way  you want to see yourself or your fragrance personality".  Read  more about this under our "Season Scents" range.

  3. The Chemistry Factor

Everyone has their own personal body chemistry and that chemistry will interact with whatever fragrance you choose.

  4. The Age Factor

Some scents are geared towards a certain age-appropraite group and with good  reason. Light scents are appropriate for teenagers and college  students who have just started out in life. A thirtysomething or fortysomething  has more confidence and life experience and, consequently her scent should  reflect that experience.

  5. How do you Feel?

Ask yourself how you feel wearing your perfume:

    • Does it make you feel good?
    • Does a smile appear on your lips when you smell the scent?
    • Does your entire body feel happy?
  6.

These are the questions to ask yourself regardless of the fragrance you choose. If the fragrance lifts your mood, wear it with confidence - such fragrances always wear well.

Wearing the right fragrance can inspire love, help one appear more confident or even aid in securing a job or job interview. It is also the fastest and simplest way to let your personality speak without saying a word.

Quick  Shopping Tips

  1. The difference between a perfume and eau de toilette is that the former is more intense and lasts longer while the latter is cheaper and tends to fade faster. See the difference between the prices of Super Concentrated range and the Budget range.
  2. The nose is only able to differentiate among three scents at a time so try not to overload your olfactory senses by piling on too many fragrances.
  3. As a general rule of thumb for choosing age-appropriate scents - the older you are the heavier the scent.
